![]() Over 200 guests enjoyed the Rotary Club of Avon-Canton's first annual Tastes of the Valley on Saturday evening, February 28, at the Avon Senor Center, with all profit benefiting the Club's local, national and global charities. Participants sampled the fine wines from M&R Liquors and the locally-brewed beer from Hooker Brewery; and had their senses tantalized by delightful food samplings from Abigail's Grill & Wine Bar, LaTrattoria, Papacelle and Rice Fields. The Mardi Gras theme, music of the Farmington Valley Symphony Orchestra's Joy Spring Jazz Quartet, and wonderful silent auction selections resulted in a thoroughly enjoyable evening for all. |

"Service Above Self"The overriding principalthat all Rotarians embrace. What is a Rotarian? Rotarians- members of a Rotary Club- are part of a diverse group of professional leaders working to address various community and international service needs. Through community service and other means, Rotary club members help promote peace and understanding throughout the world. Our members are our most important asset. They are the force that allows Rotary to carry out its many humanitarian efforts and achieve its mission. |
